Carson High’s LSLC is the governance body that performs official functions relating to shared decision making at the school under the Expanded School Based Management Model (ESBMM).
The primary goal of the LSLC is to improve the educational learning environment and the academic performance of our students. Decision-making over school operations is vested in the council to collaboratively arrive at policies that best meet the needs of our student population. ESBMM schools are based on the six elements of School Based Management, which support success because the schools (to the extent permitted by law, District regulations, and collective bargaining agreements) have control over curriculum; professional development; bell schedules; local financial resources; funding to the local school site; and the selection of administrative, certificated, and classified employees.
