NOTE:  If your student is already in the residential area of Carson High, he/she does not need to do the permit application.

The School for Advanced Studies permit program at Carson High allows students to attend our school on permit if they are within the LAUSD residence area (but outside of Carson's Zone of Choice) and meet the requirements for eligibility.  Selected students have access to a tailored individual schedule within the academy of their choice that emphasizes challenging honors and AP courses, concurrent enrollment college courses, and opportunities for internships, mentorships, and summer programs.

Students who wish to join the honors/AP Advanced Studies program, but are within the Carson Zone of Choice do not need to fill out the permit application.  Instead, they should let their counselors know during programming that they are interested in honors classes.
